Orlando, Florida-Mr. Charles Mason Underwood, age 75, of Orlando, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, May 5, 2013 at Florida Hospital, Orlando.

He was born on April 24, 1938 in Lexington, Kentucky, son of the late Jessie and Flora Griffith Underwood and educated in Kentucky schools. He was joined in marriage with Sybil Prince, on Dec. 8, 1956 in Lexington, Kentucky; a blessed and loving union of 56 years. The couple moved to Florida in 1979. Mr. Underwood was a proud United States Marine, serving during the Vietnam war and serving in the military from 1955-1968; exemplifying the true meaning of a Marine. Charles was also employed as an optician. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends along with his beloved Truth Tabernacle church family.

Charles leaves his wife, Sybil and two beloved children. Services will commence at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from Truth Tabernacle, 8125 Gillian Road, Apopka, FL with Pastor Joe A. Rowley, officiating. Burial will be private. Arrangements are in the caring guidance of Ocoee Family Funeral and Cremation Chapel-Daniel J. Enea, Director.
