Joan Marie Ferguson passed away July 5, 2016. She was born on June 20, 1955 to James and Jill DeMaio and was raised in Wilmington, Delaware.
She is survived by her three daughters: Michelle Rago, Kimberly Delgado and Sommer Rago, seven grandchildren; Tyler Rago, Alex Mardosa, Vincent Delgado, Isabella Delgado, Angelina Delgado, Anthony Delgado and Sofia Bryan-Rago and brothers James and Joseph DeMaio.
As a child, Joan was a member of 4H and loved horses. She worked with the blind and deaf at the community pool and was also a Candy Striper. She loved music and played the piano.
Joan owned many business in her life including an art store where she taught children to paint, an arcade and later a deli. Joan lived her life serving others, she liked to make people laugh and was always the life of the party.
Joan will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. We take comfort in knowing she will be greeted in heaven by all that went before her. She had a way of making everyone laugh even during her final moments. Joanie always lived life her way, all the way, everyday. She will leave a legacy for her children to live life to the fullest, to always help others in need and to have fun doing it. The home going party in heaven this week will be epic now that Joanie has arrived.

A memorial service to celebrate Joan's life will be held on Friday, July, 8 2016 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Winter Oak Funeral Home, 1132 E. Plant Street, Winter Garden, FL 34787.
