Elena Ford-Henry, 65, of Apopka, Florida, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at Florida Hospital South.
Elena was born on June 27, 1951, in Havana, Cuba, the daughter of the late Charles Ford and Caridad Harris. Elena was a Foster Care Parent, in the Child Care industry for many years. She was compassionate and nurturing. She was a loving, mother, sister and friend.
Elena is survived by one son: Patrick Ford of Apopka, FL. nine brothers and sisters: Bertha Hodge of Apopka, FL., Adita Ford, and Eliza Ford of Cuba, Rosa Harris of New York, Rynaldo Ford, Rafael Ford, Daniel Ford and Leonardo Ford of Boston, MA and Charles Weeks of Canada. Also, many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 6pm to 9 pm with service starting at 8 pm, on Wednesday September 14, 2016 at the Sheeler Oaks Spanish SDA Church, 1822 Sheeler Ave, Apopka, FL 32703 (407) 886-8077.
