Obituary for Frances Paiva

Francesca “Frances” Marie Paiva, 77 of Windermere, Florida, formerly of Cranston, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on Friday July 14, 2017. Frances was born on September 17, 1939, in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of the late Antonio Santangelo and Louise (Gentile) Santangelo. She was the loving wife of 49 years to the late Frank Paiva.

Frances was loved by all who knew her, she had an amazing smile, that would light up the room. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her two grandchildren were her world, she enjoyed the past three years living in sunny Florida with them.

She is survived by two daughters: Tammy Ann D’Attilio and husband Robert of North Scituate, Rhode Island and Stephanie Anne Romano and husband John of Windermere, FL. Two grandchildren: Alexandra Lee Romano of Winter Garden, FL and Blake Anthony Romano of Windermere, FL. Two sisters: Ann Adamo and husband Carmino of Rhode Island, and Ruby Dietel and husband Carl of Texas. One brother: Clement Santangelo of Rhode Island. She is preceded in death by her brothers: John and Joe Santangelo.

Visitation will be held at Winter Oak Funeral Home, 1132 E. Plant Street, Winter Garden, FL on Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 4pm to 6pm. She will be returning home to Rhode Island for a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Saint Rocco’s Church, Johnston, Rhode Island. She will then be laid to rest with her loving husband at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery in Exeter, Rhode Island at 12:30 pm.
