The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Richard Hicks can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Hi Dad decided to do Christmas a lil early bc I wasn’t in a celebratory mood for obvious reasons. Jen and I exchanged gifts and Jens baby boy and I have matching shirts.!!!!!
Traditional Giants and Yankees hats of course as well. Dad I’m gonna make it a personal victory w of mine to make this year my first year of every bit of what you wanted for me. Father hood is number 1 on the list. I wish you could meet Noah, but I know you’re watching him. I promised Grandma Nancy when I have a lil boy raise him to the sky. Well my stepson and my blood son will be saying hi to both you and Grandma. Pop you left a void in my heart that is irreplaceable. But as I man I swear I’m gonna make u proud. I love you 💔

Condolence: Pop's you were a great man and loved by many. It's still so hard to really believe that you're gone. You've treated me like family from the first day we met. You really were a true hero, your family and friends will always treasure the memories we have with you.

Condolence: My condolences to the Hicks family. I was shocked to learn of Richie's passing. May god bless you all at this time. What a wonderful man, always kind to everyone. His humor always brightened my day. I remember when we worked together at EPCOT he would often speak of his wife and children. A great family man May he rest in peace.

Condolence: Hey Dad today i actually called out havent done this in 2 years needed a day to myself. This page is indicative of how you touched many lives. As painful as it is to say goodbye its comforting to know how special you were to so many. In addition to being an excellent Dad you were also a great friend. You have helped guide me through many jams in life and always had my back. You were my coach, when i had a homework issue no matter what hour you would get me out of bed and donit full uniform and all. You are a hero to me. A family man. Grandma nancy always told me stories of how happy you were when I was born it was proven the day you and Irene had Nancy. That was a great day for Grandpa as well. It hurts me Dad to no longer see you. Ive made the mistake of accidentally calling you already. We spoke everyday, but know you're my angel, my guiding light, and i know you are with your parents who you always missed. You can go anywhere you want know anytime you want to go. No more pain in heaven, no diabetes, no sadness. Just you with God. He wanted you and i accept it. As long as im alive you will always live within me. Thank you pop.I had the greatest Dad in the world and I am honored to have your name.
Love until eternity you best friend and biggest fan.
Richie Jr.

Condolence: Hilary and I send our deepest sympathy to the Hicks family. I knew Richie very well. I worked at Animal Kingdom with Richie for 2 yrs..He was very funny, he kept all of us laughing all the time..Richie was a retired police officer from New York, and I was a retired officer from Phila Pa, so we had a lot in common. We talked about the old days as police officers....He was a very good buddy. We will all miss him very much....Rest peacefully Richie you deserve it.
