David Franklin Odom, 73 of Ocoee, Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 6, 2017 at his home in Ocoee, with his loving family by his side.

David was born on August 1, 1944 in Mobile, Alabama. He was the son of the late Willie D. Odom and Effie (Norris) Odom. He was the loving husband to Brenda (Vargas) Odom.

David was a Master Blender in the Citrus industry for many years. He was a very hardworking man and a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved working outside and gardening, and he was an avid listener of talk radio.

Besides his wife Brenda, he is survived by two children: Michele Kallner of Sorrento, FL and Ken David Odom of Ocoee, FL. Four grandchildren: Shelina Kallner of Winter Garden, FL, Shaun Kallner of Ocoee, FL, Taylor David Odom of Ocoee, FL and Jordan Leigh Odom of Ocoee, FL. Four great grandchildren: Daisy Lynn Kallner, Dahlila Marie McClellan, Ryatt Lee McClellan and Nova Raine McClellan of Winter Garden, FL. He is preceded in death by his brother’s: George Maxwell Odom and Donnie Hugh Odom and sister Nella Ruth Woodard.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday October 12, 2017 from 5:00-7:00pm at Winter Oak Funeral Home 1132 E. Plant St. Winter Garden, FL 34787. His Funeral service will be held on Friday October 13, 2017 at 11:00 am at Winter Oak Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Howell officiating, followed by burial at Orlando memorial Gardens Cemetery 5264 Ingram Road, Apopka, FL.
