John Frederick Harker, Sr., 73 of Orlando, Florida passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at home with his loving family by his side.

John was born on October 26, 1944 in Neptune, New Jersey, the son the late Clinton Wallace Harker and Doris Jean (Morton) Harker. John was the loving husband of 53 years to June (Liming) Harker.

John was a special man, he had many jobs during his life, first he was a man of God, as an ordained minister, he also had a career as an embalmer in the funeral industry, and was a truck driver, but for the last 20 years he was a wonderful devoted grandfather, husband and father. John loved his family and the outdoors.

Besides his wife June, he is survived by five children: Three sons: John Harker, Jr., (Jack) and wife Laurie of Winter Garden, FL, Billy Harker and wife Andera of Casselberry, FL, Clinton Harker and Deneen Hathaway of Clermont, FL. Two daughters: Pam Harker of Rhode Island and Hope (Denise) MyKytka and husband Paul of Gaffney, South Carolina. Many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his daughter Cheryl Dirden and grandson Jonathon Tessenear.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Service starting at 11:00 am with Pastor Adams officiating at Winter Oak Funeral Home 1132 E. Plant Street, Winter Garden, FL.

Burial immediately following the service at Winter Garden Cemetery, 13636 Lake Butler Blvd, Winter Garden, FL.
