Adriano “Andy” Markezic of Hollywood, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 14th 2018 at the age of 66.
Originally from Pregara, Slovenia, he moved to the United States in 1970. Without speaking any English he put himself through trade school. With the first money he made in America, he purchased his dream car, a new Pontiac GTO. A plasterer by trade, he was intensely focused on his craft creating masterful facades wherever he lived.
Later known as “Handy Andy”, he skillfully remodeled many homes all over South Florida. A workaholic his whole life, Andy never turned down a job.
Andy always cared deeply for family and friends, and always went above and beyond helping those in need. The Markezic house was always the place where people gathered to eat, drink, and have fun. Andy was the type of person that if you did have a chance to meet him you would never forget it. He was truly one of a kind.
Andy is survived by his wife Lily, son Adrian, daughters Lorena and Iva, and grandchildren Ryder, Daniel, Mila, Luka and Vivienne.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in his name to the American Cancer Society
There will be a memorial mass on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Resurrection Catholic Church at 1:00pm. Andriano’s arrangements are in the caring guidance of Winter Oak Funeral Home, 1132 E. Plant Street, Winter Garden, FL 34787
