Obituary for Edna M. Baldauf

Edna M. Baldauf, beloved "Gaga" passed away peacefully on April 17 at age 96 in Winter Garden.

Gaga had a zest for life that was unmatched. She and her husband John traveled the world, he as an international banker and she as his roving ambassador and travel partner, while maintaining a successful career as a real estate broker. In 1990, they retired to Florida, and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary there in 1992 with family and many new friends. A dedicated duplicate bridge player, she earned many masters points and helped others learn the game.

She loved visiting family in California and Minnesota, gardening, horseback riding, and dancing. She enjoyed a glass or two of red wine every night. But she most loved spending time with her grand children, the lights of her life. She adored them above all. In 2016 she stole the show as the flower girl in her grandson's wedding.

Survived by son John and wife Kathy of Winter Garden, daughter Jan Cook and husband Gary of Minnetonka, Minnesota, grandchildren Jake and Ava Baldauf, Christopher Cook and Eleanor Melson, and Cassandra Cook, brother and sister-in-law Bobby and Beverly Morris, brother Neal and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John, sisters Dorothy and Virginia, and brothers Rich, Gene, and Ralph.
