Ilion, NY/Haines City, FL - Mrs. Carol (Streeter) Noll May, formerly of Prospect Street Ilion, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, October 2, 2014 at the Good Shepherd Hospice, Auburndale, FL, succumbing to a four year battle with cancer; she was 74 years of age.
She was born in Herkimer in 1940 and lived the majority of her life in Ilion. She graduated from Ilion High School in 1958 and married her high school sweetheart Jack Noll in August of 1958. She was an extremely devoted mother, grandmother and wife.
Carol and Jack had four children Jack, Lisa, Michele and Jeffrey and wife Julia; she leaves behind two loving grandchildren, Maddox and Beckett Noll; a sister, Joan Fink and husband Thomas of Florida; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends in the Mohawk Valley. She was predeceased by her husband Jack, her daughter Michele and three siblings. She was last employed at Marine Midland Bank in Ilion, where she worked for several years.
She married Albert May in 2001 and the couple resided at their home in Haines City, Florida, where they found comfort in the company of friends and family. They also enjoyed traveling during their thirteen wonderful years of marriage, and regularly returned to Ilion in order to visit family and friends.
Carol will be buried at a private ceremony in Armory Hill Cemetery in Ilion at a date to be determined by her family. If you wish to remember Carol, the family asks that you kindly consider donations to the Central Valley School District, 11 Frederick St., Ilion, NY 13357.
