Obituary for Lidiya Varvak

Lidiya Varvak
Lidiya Varvak was an incredible woman! She put everybody else above herself. From a young age she was a survivor and knew exactly what her path would be in life. After graduating high school, she decided to become a nurse and enrolled into nursing college. After graduating college at 18, she went straight to work, she was selfless and always lent a helping hand to whomever was in need. She got married and due to her husband being in the military she had traveled a lot. She had a daughter at 22 and devoted her whole life to her.

The best time she remembered was at Czech Republic, where she lived in a small military town with lots of friends. It was always easy for her to make friends because of her incredible heart and ability to go out of her way to help anybody in need. After getting a divorce, she relocated to a small military town outside of Russia, Kaliningrad. Where she was a nurse that took care of the whole town due to doctor only visiting couple of times a week. Anybody with a rash, fever, or broken leg came to her and her door was always open. She never turned anyone away. She was happy to help.

After her mother’s passing, Lidiya and her daughter relocated to Kiev, Ukraine in order to help out her father who was left a widower. It was a difficult time. Her father remarried and she was left in a new country trying to figure out how to take care of a young child in a new environment. There was nothing that she would not provide for her daughter, working 72 hour shifts so she can put her daughter through music and English school.

An opportunity came along to relocate to United States and Lidiya thought it was a path to a bright and new future for her and her daughter. It was a difficult path for Lidiya, not knowing English and being thrown into a completely different environment. But as a strong and amazing woman, she persevered. She took the bus every morning to Orlando Tech to learn English, she did not want to be a burden to anybody, so she elected a free school to go to and learn English. She aced all of her tests and was able to work as a CNA for Florida Hospital East.

Her strength, her incredible heart, her compassion and drive is what her daughter wants her to be remembered by.
