Marilyn I Giddding 84 of Venice, FL passed away peacefully on September 25, 2016. Marilyn was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on June 8, 1932 to Ed & Lola Schreiber. The family soon relocated to Bluffton, Indiana where Marilyn and her sister Carol were raised. Marilyn attended Purdue University.
Marilyn relocated to Syracuse, Indiana where she met the love of her life Hugh Gidding. They made Syracuse home until 1983 when they relocated to Venice, Florida. Marilyn worked for CVS until retirement in 1997.
Marilyn enjoyed her pool daily, was an animal lover and loved to play croquet. She got her first computer at age 65 and made many friends throughout the years. Marilyn was very active politically and her wish was to see Hillary Clinton elected the first woman President.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents Ed & Lola Schreiber, her loving husband Hugh Gidding in January 2016, her sister Carol Gibeau and son in law Robert Dykstra. She is survived by her daughter Dianne Dykstra, son Steven Deck (Robert Haught) and grandchildren Emily Dykstra and Andrew Dykstra.
