Obituary for Pisa T. Opetaia - Williamson

Pisa Tamasili Opetaia-Williamson, age 61, of Dunnellon, Florida passed away on August 18, 2017 at her son’s home with her husband by her side. Her funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, August 30th, 2017 at Winter Oaks Funeral home, in Winter Garden, Florida.

Pisa was born on April 13, 1956 in Western Samoa. She was the daughter of Tamasili and Tauiai Opetaia. Pisa was the loving wife of 41 years to Jim Opetaia-Williamson.

Previously a co-owner of her family business, Pisa spent the last four years retired in Dunnellon, Florida. She was known to most for her quiet, kind, loving, and generous spirit. Pisa had a love for flowers and singing, and was a living testament of her faith. Most of all, she is remembered for her love for her family and friends. She was an incredibly devoted mother, wife, sister, aunt, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her brother Loto Opetaia, daughter Marie Opetaia-Williamson, and grandson Tasi Williamson. She is survived by her spouse, Jim, son Steven (Wendy), daughter Sheri (Rob), her loved granddaughter Seneca, as well as son Joss Williamson (Jan), grandson Joss (Rebecca), great grandchildren Makenna and Tasi, and granddaughter Maloupu Watts (Tatsuki). Born into a large family she is survived by brothers Iese, Tanielu, Pae, and Talalei as well as sisters Paluli, Soama, and Maloupu.

Pisa will be laid to rest in Makaha, HI where her ashes will be set to the sea and make their way back to Western Samoa.
