Condolence From: A Valencia Student
Condolence: Dr. Archibald was a true genius, and a patient, inspirational teacher. I’ll never forget many of the lessons he created with that class. Also, he gave me an A. I was privileged to take a semester with such a man, from PEI.

Condolence: I came to know Dr Archibald through his lectures on programming that were available on Youtube about 5 years ago when I was in a graduate school in Pakistan. He was simply great at what he did. He also came across as a very affable and genuine guy.
Came to know about his passing when I searched for him on google to see what he was upto these day. My condolences to his family on their loss.

Condolence: Just learned today of Colin's passing. He served on our neighborhood's board and was appreciated for his time there. Miss seeing him walk his dog and report about the Sandhill Cranes that liked to hang in his back yard.
God bless your journey Colin. Condolences to family on your loss.
Warm regards,
Carol

Condolence: I was deeply saddened to hear of Colin's passing. In the time he served on the Curriculum Committee at Valencia he became someone who's opinion I held in high regard. Always asking the hard questions and catching tiny details that everyone else overlooked. Valencia suffers a great loss with his passing. I wish his family peace in this difficult time.

Condolence: Dr. Archibald was one of my very favorite teachers, both as a source of knowledge and as a human being. He always impressed me not just with his knowledge of subject matter, but his unfailing warmth, patience, and approachability with his students. I could sense immediately that Dr. A truly cared that his students learned more than the dry facts of language features and compilation. Every one of his assignments was designed to make students think for themselves, not simply to prove a point, but because he had faith that they could do it. When I tutored students in his courses, I always did my best to honor his intentions, because I knew that they were worthy ones. I will miss him greatly, but I am forever grateful for the opportunity to have learned from him, and to have thanked him for what he did for me.

Condolence: I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Colin. I give my sincerest condolences to his family and friends. I worked with him when he was at the National Research Council of Canada in Ottawa, Ontario and he was always a good friend. He was an excellent scientist and co-worker, and a kind and generous human being. I saw him twice after he moved to the US, and I knew he was very happy with Gary in Florida. I will miss him very much.

Condolence: As a former student and colleague of Dr. Archibald, I am deeply saddened and I offer my sincerest condolences to his family.
Dr. Archibald was truly an inspiring professor and got me to enjoy programming courses. His quirky responses and jokes made the classroom environment friendly and inviting. Even though I was no longer his student, he still took the time to answer my questions about other classes and problems I was facing. Dr. Archibald was always willing to listen to me rant about random topics even though he was swamped with work, but he always enjoyed a good conversation.
I may not have been a close friend of his, but I am going to miss him. I know nothing can replace him, but I hope the wound can be healed and we can all relish on the good times we had with him.
