MARY GEORGE MUMFORD


Mary Mumford entered into Eternal peace on Friday, March 30, 2018. She was born to the late Robert George and Dorothy Taylor on April 9, 1954.

Mary attended Valencia Community College where she met her soulmate, Carl Mumford, before graduating from Nova Southeastern University. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, she continued in the field of education inspiring and molding young minds as an elementary school teacher within the Orange County Public School system.

Mary was a Woman of Strength. She was always there for others and was determined to be the best person she could be. She was a very kind and gentle soul with a generous and loving heart.

Mary leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her supportive and devoted husband of 40 years, Carl Mumford Sr., her loving children: Nykecia, Karlese and Carl Jr.; their spouses and her 9 grandchildren. Also her siblings, nieces, nephews and friends.



Legacy of Love
A wife, a mother, a grandma too,
This is the legacy we have from you.
You taught us love and how to fight,
You gave us strength, you gave us might.
A stronger person would be hard to find,
And in your heart, you were always kind.
You fought for us all in one way or another,
Not just as a wife not just as a mother.
For all of us you gave your best,
Now the time has come for you to rest.
So go in peace, you’ve earned your sleep,
Your love in our hearts, we’ll eternally keep.
