Daniel Bryce Farlow, 97, of Windermere, Florida, passed away at The Sheridan Assisted Living and Memory Care Facility of Windermere, Florida on Tuesday, July 2, 2018.
Visitation and viewing will be held at Winter Oak Funeral Home in Winter Garden on July 7, 2018 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Also, a visitation and funeral service will be held at Marlboro Friends Church, 2668 Marlboro Church Rd, Sophia, NC 27350 on July 15 at 2:00 PM followed by the burial at Oaklawn Cemetery, 737 Albermarle Road, Asheboro, NC.
Daniel was born on October 14, 1920 in Sophia, North Carolina to Frank Modock Farlow and Nora Stout. He is survived by his beloved wife of 75 years, Eva Jay Briles, his brothers: Michael Farlow and Byron Farlow, and by his son, David Briles Farlow. Three grandchildren: Daniel Jay Farlow, Brandon David Farlow, and Bryan Ambrogio.
Daniel spent his childhood years on the Farlow Family Farm in Sophia, N.C. and graduated from Randleman High School in 1937. He had a successful career with Moore, Gardner, and Associates of Asheboro, NC as supervisor/manager of power line and property surveying and served in the U.S. Army in the ASIA-Pacific theater during WW II. He loved fishing and hanging out by the lakeside with family and friends at the family’s small cabin at Badin Lake, N.C.
