Obituary for Joseph Rebuck

Joseph Rebuck, 90, of Media, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, November 5, 2018, with his family by his side.

Joseph was born on January 6, 1928, in Shamokin, PA, the son of the late Joseph Rebuck and Matilda (James) Rebuck. Joseph was the loving husband of Janice (Gaughan) Rebuck of 49 years.

Joseph was a driver examiner and a crossing guard for many, many years in Media. He was a very hard working man and loving husband, father, and friend. Joseph was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Media, PA. Joseph refereed high school football for 20 years. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion in Aston, PA and the West End Fire Company in Shamokin, PA. Joseph joined the United States Navy in April of 1945 and was awarded the American Theater Ribbon and Victory Medal for his services.

Besides his wife, Janice, he is survived by two children, Daniel Rebuck of Windermere, FL and daughter, Sharon (Rebuck) Castetter of Shamokin, PA. Daughter-in-law Tracey (Reagan) Rebuck, of Windermere, FL. Son-in-law Charles Castetter of Shamokin, PA. Two grandchildren, Matthew Rebuck, of Windermere, FL and Tracey (Castetter) Hile, of Paxinos, PA. Two great-grandchildren, Jarred Castetter and Tanner Hile, of Paxinos, PA. Niece, Carol Fisher, of Easton, PA. He was preceded in death by his sister, Flower (Rebuck) Fisher and his daughter, Terri Rebuck both of Shamokin, PA.
