Alton A. Shumate "Pee Wee" 71, of Orlando, FL passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs, FL with his loving wife and son by his side.
Pee Wee was born on July 4, 1947, in Orlando, FL, the son to Alton W. Shumate and Edna L. Shumate. Pee Wee was the loving husband to Barbara Shumate.
Pee Wee was a truck driver for most of his life, in Orlando, FL. He was a very hardworking man and loving husband, father and friend.
Besides his wife, Barbara, he is survived by two boys, Alton Shumate Jr. of Orlando, FL and Jeff Shumate of Shepard, TX.Three sisters Joyce L. Fulford of Tampa, Josephine Claxton of Longwood, and Virgina Williams of South Carolina, also three brothers, Troy W. Shumate, James T. Shumate of Tennessee, Cecil G. Shumate, of Michigan and many loving grandkids, and other close family memebers.
The family will receive relatives and friends at 11:00 a.m. on May 8, 2019 at the grave site located at Woodlawn Memorials Park and Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734
His funeral arrangements are in the care and guidance of Winter Oak Funeral Home 1132 E. Plant St. Winter Garden, FL 34787.
