Obituary for O.W. Danner
Otis William Danner (Dub Danner), was born in Winter Haven, Florida on October 10, 1926. He went home to our Heavenly Father on December 22, 2019. He was preceded in death by his wife Jewell Danner, his parents Jasper Danner and Sallie Mae (Bilbrey) Danner and his daughter Dorothy Jane Campione.
He worked in the Citrus industry all his life. He started working as a teenager in Polk County and retired in 2005 from Conoly Fruit in Winter Garden. He worked for many years with Tom West Inc. He loved his work.
Dub had been in declining health since his wife Jewell Danner passed away on January 11, 2019. The last 2 months Dub had been ill with several issues requiring hospitalization & rehab stays. He had shared with the family he was ready to go and “see Momma”. We know he is happy because he has been reunited with loved ones both family and friends. We take comfort in knowing what a Christmas celebration they had.
He is survived by his daughter Kathy Campbell (Jerry), Reda Lacy, Rhonda Waller (Stan), Kim Ruest, Robbie Traywick (Wayne), Roxanna Connell and son Hugh Connell. Grandchildren Wendy Deans, Rachel Helton, Candice Cate, Kelli Phillips, Jamie Phillips, Annie Waller, Harrison Waller, Sawyer Bell, Keisha Campbell, Nikki Ruest, Taylor Ruest, Jonathan Smith, Justin Smith, Joseph Smith, and Dustin Connell; Great-Grandchildren 16; Great-Great Grandchildren 20.
The Celebration of Life will be January 3, 2020 at 2;00 PM, at the Vineland Road Christian Fellowship Road, 890 Vineland Road, Winter Garden, Fl. 34787.
