Obituary for Walter Richard Stoehr

Walter Stoehr, 87, of Winter Garden, Florida passed away peacefully on Monday, December 23, 2019, at the VITAS In-patient facility, Winter Garden, Florida

Walter was born in 1932 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of the late August Stoehr and Clara (Lang) Stoehr. He married Ann Gregovits in 1959, who pre-deceased him in 2002. He is survived by his only child, Cynthia Lubic (Joseph) of Alexandria, Virginia; his grandsons Gregory (Rachel) of Alexandria, Virginia and David (Beth) of Winter Garden, Florida; and sister Eleanor Cunningham, of Manchester, New Hampshire.

Walter served in the United States Air Force from 1952-1956 during which time he was stationed in Korea at airfield K-14 (Kimpo) as an aircraft mechanic during the Korean War and spent most of his post-Air Force working life as an aircraft mechanic for Eastern Airlines in Miami, Florida. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Walter’s request were to have no services.


Walter’s ashes will be interred at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery at a future date.
