Obituary for Michael Thompson
Michael Keith Thompson, 65, of Winter Garden, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at his sister's home Karen Thompson in Groveland, Florida, with her by his side.
Michael was born on March 29, 1954 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of the late Edward Francis Thompson and Thelma Virginia (Winch) Thompson.
Michael was a master carpenter and could build almost anything out of wood. His hobbies were playing pool one handed. He loved cars, motorcycles, and was in the process of making a trike motorcycle from scratch in his last few months of life. He also loved working in his yard and remodeling his home. He loved his family, was very loyal to his friends, a hard working man and fought a hard courageous battle with his disease with cancer.
Michael was preceded in death by his sister Jerrilyn (Thompson) Kent.
He is survived by one daughter Angela M. Burke, of Nicholson, Georgia, One Granddaughter Brooke White, of Lakeland, Florida, Two Grandsons James W. Thompson, Hayden R. Thompson, of Comer, Georgia, One Sister, Karen E. Thompson, of Groveland, FL, Three Brothers, David F. Thompson and His Wife, Nancy (Marr) Thompson, of Andover, Ohio, William E. Thompson and His Wife, Sandra Thompson, of Brook, Indiana, and Kevin S. Thompson, of Winter Garden, Florida, and several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 22, 2020, at the Winter Oak Funeral Home.
