Obituary for Thomas Ptaskiewicz

Thomas G. Ptaskiewicz, 61, of Orlando, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2020, at Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, Orlando, with his loving wife and siblings by his side.

Tom was born on January 18, 1959 in Erie, Pennsylvania, the oldest of five children of Walt and the late Jean Ptaskiewicz. He was the loving husband of Debbie (Ronto) Ptaskiewicz.

Tom graduated from Kanty Prep in Erie in 1976. He joined the Air Force and served his country for four years. After receiving an honorable discharge, he then earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He joined Lockheed Martin as an electrical engineer, and while employed there earned Masters degrees in Electrical Engineering and Engineering Management. He retired from Lockheed Martin after 34 years of loyal service.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his father, Walt Ptaskiewicz of Atlanta, Georgia(formerly of Erie, PA), two sisters, Jan LeCraw (Chris) and Cathy Ptaskiewicz of Atlanta, brother Mark Ptaskiewicz (Tina) of Golden, Colorado, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Ptaskiewicz and his mother Jean Ptaskiewicz

The family will receive relatives and friends at a Celebration of Life in Orlando and interment will be in Erie, both at a later date.
