Mackaleen (Mack) Reason Deans Butts, 84, of Lucama, NC, passed away peacefully May 27, 2020 at Orlando Regional Health Care in Orlando, Florida after a brief illness, with her loving children by her side.

Mackaleen was born in Wilson County, NC on March 30, 1936, the daughter of the late Mack Reason and Nellie Ford Reason Taylor.

She is survived by her children, Vickie Deans Cone and Billy Ray Deans, and her son-in-law Richard Duvall, all of Florida, her sisters Marie Finn of Wilson and Judy Herman of Smithfield, many loving nieces and nephews, and her long-time fur- baby companion, Boo-Boo.

She was predeceased by her husbands Bill Deans and Earl Butts, her brothers William Ford, Cleveland Ford, Bruce Ford, Carson Ford, Bobby Ray Ford, and J.D. Reason, and her sisters Betty Gay, Mamie Lee Butts, and Fannie Mae Reason.

Mackaleen’s funeral arrangements are in the caring guidance of Winter Oak Funeral Home and Cremations, 1132 E. Plant St. Winter Garden, FL 34787 and Shingleton Funeral Home, 2413 Nash Street North, Wilson, NC 27896.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday June 2, 2020 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM in Wilson,NC.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, Interment to follow Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
