Obituary for Richard Grant Padgett Jr.
Richard Grant Padgett Jr. “Buddy”, of Winter Garden, FL passed away peacefully in his home
on Tuesday, July 07, 2020 of cancer, surrounded by his family.
Buddy is preceded in death by his parents, Richard G. Padgett Sr. and Shirley W. Padgett, and
nephew, Benjamin Preslopsky.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Valerie Chase Padgett, five children, Daniel
Chase Padgett (Tiffany), Kristin Nicole Ferrari (Nick), Kaley Noel Addington (Chris), Korie Lynn
Padgett and Lyndsey Mae Padgett, as well as six grandchildren, Isabelle, Natalie, Wyatt, Avery,
Evelyn and Noah.
Buddy is also survived by his sisters, Deborah Anderson (Richard),TN, Jody Ensworth, NY,
Jessie Love (Dave),TN, and Heather Lineberry, NC.
Bud was an outgoing person with a kind heart. Willing to help where and whenever needed. An
easy going spirit with an infectious smile. A bit of a teaser who could leave most of us crying in
laughter, even at our own expense. He had an ingenious mind and creative gift to try and
improve old things as well as invent new ones.
Bud will always be a lover of Nature, Music and the Beach. He will be greatly missed by those
who knew him, those who met him and those who loved him, and remain in our hearts forever.
