Obituary for Rosa E Cardona

Rosa E. Cardona, 72, of Orlando, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at her home in Orlando, Florida with her ex-husband, son, and grandson by her side.

Rosa was born on February 4, 1948 in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Doroteo and Amelia (Gonzalez) Cardona. Rosa was the former wife of Joseph R. Kreaseck and, in earlier life, Mario D. Frank.

Rosa achieved her highest education, a master’s degree, at Worcester State College. Rosa was a lifelong English teacher educating every grade level from elementary to college level in Massachusetts, Florida, and Alabama. She also taught English as a second language for many years to migrants, immigrants, and even foreign military family members training on Maxwell Air Force Base. She also wrote a periodic youth column, Youth Images, in the newspaper the Montgomery Advertiser, in Montgomery, AL in the mid 1990’s.

She is survived by her only son, Christopher D. Frank, of Winter Garden, FL, her granddaughter, Devin Frank, of Gainesville, FL, her grandson, Christopher Sebastian Frank, of Apopka, FL, four sisters, Carmen Perez, of Altamonte Springs, FL, Iris Cardona, of Longwood, FL, Doris Rivera, of Orange City, FL, and Widilia Stolpe, of DeLand, FL, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Her family and friends will hold a private gathering to memorialize her life on Sunday February 21, 2021.
