Obituary for Ethel Celia Louise Straka (Tucker)
Ethel Celia Louise Straka, 82, of Windermere, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 30th, 2021, at her home with her loving family by her side.
Ethel was born on November 13th, 1938 in Burnt Point, Newfoundland, Canada, the daughter of late Noah and Jane Tucker.
Ethel married Erich Straka in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and lived and raised their children in Detroit, Michigan and Windsor, Canada. Ethel moved to central Florida to be close to her family in 2014.
Ethel was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, and aunt. She loved to read, go for long walks, and enjoyed having chats over a cup of coffee or Red Rose tea. She was a gentle woman who was always generous with all she had. She adored all six of her children and always put them first.
Ethel was preceded in death by her late children, Sheila and David Straka, as well as her late husband, Erich Straka. She is survived by four children, Ann Straka, Erich Straka, Inge Straka, and Pam Venell. Ten grandchildren Erika Straka-Conway, Halston Straka-Conway, Anya Straka-Conway, Jazzelle Straka-Braxton, Araena Gentry, Sebastian Gentry, Calvin Gentry, Natascha Gentry, Izabella Straka, and Lucas Straka. And two great grandchildren Jerome Straka-Conway and Sloan Stilwell.
The family will be holding a private service from 7:00-7:30 on Sunday, January 31st, 2021 at Winter Oak Funeral Home.
