Obituary for Rev. Reinaldo A De Jesus Santiago
Rev. Reinaldo Arturo De Jesus, born on December 31, 1932, in Ciales, Puerto Rico, has gone to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday February 13, 2021 at Vitas Inpatient unit in Winter Garden, Florida.
He was proceeded in death by his beloved wife Maria Eugenia De Jesus. Theirs was a love story that lasted 58 years. They had two children, Abdiel (Elisa), and Mara Liz (Carlos). They were especially proud of their only grandson, Carlos (Lito) Rivera.
Reinaldo was a pastor for many years. He was the founding pastor of Primera Iglesia Cruzada Evangélica, in Rochester, NY. He was known by some as “The teacher.” His love of story telling made his teachings come to life. His sense of humor was contagious. Reinaldo also loved to sing and write poetry. His poetry spoke of his love for his wife, family, and the island he was born in. Reinaldo was a nurse in his hometown of Ciales. He loved the practice of healing the body and soul.
Reinaldo was also preceded in death by his parents, Cesar and Obdulia De Jesus and his siblings, Cesar, Lastenia, Raul, Migdalia, Miguel, Blanca, Angel, and Wilfrido.
He will be missed by his sisters Nilda and Julie, his brother Harry, countless nieces and nephews, and his spiritual family. Reinaldo was a member of Iglesia Palabra Viva, Orlando Florida.
The family will recieve relatives and friends on Thursday February 18, 2021 for a visitation at 6:00P.M. with a service at 7:00 P.M. celebrating his faith and love of life will be held at the Winter Oaks Funeral Home and Cremations
