Mavis Young, 60, of Ocoee, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 20,2021 at Advent Health in Apopka, Florida with her loving family by her side.
Mavis was born on January 6, 1961 in Orlando, Florida, the daughter of Billy Howell and Mary Louise Howell. Mavis was the loving wife of Glen Young and a great sister to 6 siblings.
Mavis was a bus driver for Orange County Public Schools for 22 years. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family during family get togethers. She loved going to the coast to catch shrimp and spending time at the ocean.
Besides her husband, Glen, she is survived by her four children Tonya & John Matheny of Vienna, Illinois, Gary Young of Ocoee, Florida, Tammy ( John C.) Young of Tampa, Florida, and Alesha Young of Ocoee, Florida. Her nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
