James Joseph Deleguardia, 70.
July 16, 1950 – May 9, 2021 of Winter Garden, FL passed away peacefully at AdventHealth Hospice in Orlando, FL on May 9, 2021. He was born in Rochester, NY on July 16, 1950 to Joseph and Rose Deleguardia.
Jimmy was a graduate of East Rochester High School and Bowling Green State University majoring in Marketing Communications. His professional career was highlighted by senior level Advertising, Marketing and Sales Promotions positions working with iconic companies such as McDonald’s, Burger King, Mars, Walmart, and Dole.
Jimmy was a talented athlete who enjoyed playing baseball, softball, football and golf. Jimmy D’s athletic ability became evident at an early age when he was selected to be on the All Star baseball team at age of 7 years old. He also loved spending time with family and friends and was devoted to Casey, their Cavalier King Charles spaniel. Jimmy was a lifelong New Yankees fan who attended the World Series in 1961.
Jimmy will be remembered as a kind-hearted, loving man with a friendly smile and a positive attitude. He will surely be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving family members include his wife, Deidre Eigenbrode of Winter Garden, FL; brother Richard Deleguardia of East Rochester, NY; niece Heather Michel of Charlotte, NC; nephew Ricky Deleguardia and his wife Mercedes of West Chester, PA. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of life will be held in Rochester, NY in September.
