Obituary for Robert C. "Bob" Monto Sr.

Robert (Bob) C. Monto Sr., 74, of Apopka, Florida passed away peacefully on Monday, July 5, 2021, at Altamonte Springs Hospital in Altamonte Springs, Florida, with his loving family by his side.

Robert was born on April 20, 1947, in Hoboken, New Jersey, the son of the late James T. Monto and Frances (Angelo) Monto. Robert was the loving husband of Mary Ann (Bolich) Monto.

Robert was a certified public account and a computer programmer for many years. He was a very hardworking man and a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Robert was very involved in the Boy Scouts of America. He was an avid scouter for over 60 years. He earned his Eagle Scout award at the age of 14. He was a vigil member of the Order of the Arrow and earned many distinguished awards throughout his scouting career. He passed his love of scouting on to his son and 3 grandsons.

Besides his wife, Mary, he is survived by their two children and their spouses, Robert and Kristi Monto of Kannapolis, NC, and Jennifer (Monto) and Gregory Scraper of Windermere, FL, and 4 grandchildren, Joshua and Julee Monto, Tyler and Ryan Scraper, and many other loving family and friends.

At his request, there will be a memorial service at a later time.
