Obituary for Charles W. Schleider

Charles W. Schleider, 80, of Clermont, Florida passed away peacefully on Friday, July 9, 2021 at South Lake Hospital in Clermont, Florida with his loving family by his side.

Charles was born on September 28, 1940 in Flushing, New York, son of the late Charles & Josephine Schleider. Charles was the loving husband of Kathleen (Anastasi) Schleider.

Charles was a very hard-working man, he was an entrepreneur, started as a Butcher, owned a Deli, Fish Market, Trucking Company, Fruit Stand, and his last career was as a Union Representative. He was a big advocate for many years with the Knights of Columbus.

Charles was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.

Besides his wife Kathleen, and loving dog Tootsie; he is survived by three children: Two daughters; Cindy Sapp, husband Ryan Sapp and their children, Chandler and Samantha. Kimberly Davis, husband Rick Davis and their daughter Mackenzie. One son; Craig Schleider, wife Shannon Schleider and his Son, the first grandchild Cory Schleider and her daughter Paige. His loving sister, Carol Hayes. He was known as Poppy Charlie to so many.

The family will receive relatives and friends for viewing from 4pm-6pm on Thursday, July 15, 2021 with a Prayer Service and Reception following at Winter Oak Funeral Home, 1132 E. Plant Street, Winter Garden, FL 34787.
