Obituary for William "Bill" Anthony

William “Bill” Anthony, 75 of Orlando, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Advent Health in Apopka, Florida with his loving wife and son by his side.

Bill was born on June 11, 1946, in Orlando, FL. He is the son of the late Tony Anthony and Jean Anthony. Bill was a loving husband of 49 years to Glenda (Pruitt) Anthony.

Bill had several occupations during his lifetime. He was a sailor and musician in the U.S. Navy, a Sergeant First Class in the Army National Guard, a professional violinist, a church choir director, a lineman with Southern Bell, an electrician, a small business owner and operator, and a lift station technician with the City of Winter Garden. Bill was a volunteer with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Auxiliary Unit for 30 years. He was a hard-working man and a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Bill had a tremendous sense of duty and volunteerism. He was a helpful person, a good friend, and someone that you could count on. Bill stood up for what he believed in and always held himself to a high standard and ethic. He was a Christian who loved the Lord and gave of himself through praise, worship, and service to the church.

Besides his loving wife, Glenda; he is survived by four children, Nicole Anthony of Hardy, AR., William Anthony and wife (Kate) of Orlando, FL., Ginger Walley and husband (Brian) of Leesburg, VA., and Stephen Anthony and wife (Deanna) of Federal Way, WA. Two brothers, Christos Anthony and wife (Debbie) of Montverde, FL., Mark Anthony and wife (Ruth Anne) of Winter Garden, FL., and one sister, Kathy Eme and husband (Ray) of Clermont, FL. Bill is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation from 1:00 p.m.- 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at the College Park Presbyterian Church, 118 E. Par St, Orlando, FL., 32804. The Service will be held at College Park Presbyterian Church at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 5, 2022, with a burial immediately following at the Winter Garden Cemetery, 13636 Lake Butler Blvd., Winter Garden, FL., 34787.
