Vernon Guy Wirth, 70 of Windermere Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 1st 2022 at Cornerstone Hospice in Clermont, Florida with his loving family by his side.
Vernon was born on December 18, 1951 in St Louis, Missouri. He spent his younger years in the FBI and then was a St Louis Police officer. He started working for Marriott in 1986 where he met his wife, Elizabeth Wirth. They spent the next 36 years living up and down the east coast and had their two sons Daniel and Gregory. Family was everything to Vernon and his most memorable times were the many family trips taken all over the US and internationally. Vernon was also an avid train lover and he spent his 70th birthday riding the Durango train in Colorado. His many interests include space travel, he made an effort to catch every launch that he could. He is also a passionate St Louis Cardinals fan.
Besides his loving wife, Elizabeth, he is survived by three sons, Bradley Wirth with wife (Heather) and four children of Chanhassen Minnesota; Daniel Wirth and fiancé (Ellen) of Portland, Oregon and Gregory Wirth and wife (Sheena) of Winter Garden, Florida. His sister, Jan, resides in St Louis with his nieces and nephew.
To honor Vernon’s memory, his family is holding a private Celebration of Life at their home.
