Obituary for Glen Venable

Glen Venable of Zellwood, FL, dearly loved husband, father, brother and grandfather, went home to be
with the Lord on June 2, 2022.  Glen was born in Cushing, OK, September 16, 1927.  He served in the
Navy and graduated from Oklahoma State with a degree in Architectural Engineering.  In 1954 Glen
married his sweetheart Betty after meeting on a blind date.  They moved to Orlando in 1969 with their 5
children and became active members of the First United Methodist Church of Pine Hills.  After moving to
Zellwood he joined First Baptist Church of Eustis (now Lifepointe Church).  Glen worked for many years
as the building code official for the City of Winter Garden before his retirement in 1993.

Glen will be remembered as a generous and caring person who loved the Lord and his family.  He is
predeceased by Betty his loving and devoted wife of 54 years and his son Terrell Venable.  He is survived
by his four daughters: Valerie Dunlap (Rod), Melissa Chase (Jim), Tammy Venable and Lisa Gray,
grandchildren Paul Dunlap, Scott Dunlap (Stacy), three great grandchildren Evan Dunlap, Elena Dunlap,
Cameron Dunlap and his sister Wanda Moore.  

A memorial service celebrating Glen's life will be June 18, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Lifepointe Church, 3551
E. Orange Ave., Eustis, FL.  

The family would like to thank Cornerstone Hospice for the compassionate care given to Glen and his
family in his final days.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park
Rd, Tavares, FL 32778.
