James Lawrence Slohm, 69 of Winter Garden, Florida passed away peacefully on
Saturday, June 25, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Jim was born on October 16, 1952 in Elmira, New York. He is the son of the late
David Slohm, and he is survived by his mother Natalie (Firstenberg) Slohm. He is
also preceded in death by his younger brother, Doug Slohm and is survived by his
sister, Susan Slohm.
Besides his loving wife, Joanie (Falldorf) Slohm; he is survived by three children,
David (Cyndi) Slohm, Jessica (Ronnie) Spoonmore, and Zach (Lily) Eldred. He is
also survived by his seven grandchildren: Alexis Unger, Kaylee Unger, Kaiden
Unger, Aiden Slohm, Roma Eldred, Brenan Slohm, Rooney Eldred, and his loving
dog, Ike.
Jim spent much of his professional career as an executive in the sporting goods
industry. His most rewarding career was being Poppy to his seven grandchildren
and catered to their every need and desire. His love for Jesus was evident by the
way he tried to live his life. He enjoyed skiing, fishing, and anything to do with the
water. He will truly be missed by all, but we hold onto our precious memories.
The family will be hosting a private celebration of life service at a later date.
