Obituary for Gary Michael Hagedon

Gary Michael Hagedon, 61, of Winter Garden, Florida passed away suddenly on Monday June 27, 2022 at 8:02 a.m. at Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Florida. He was born on July 20, 1961 at Mount Carmel Hospital in Detroit, Michigan growing up in Westland MI.

His father a pilot and mother a homemaker. Growing up he loved being with his siblings and helping his family. As he grew older , he enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on his favorite cars, a blue El Camino and a white ford pick up truck. He had every kind of animal that he loved dearly from snakes, to chickens, to dogs, to lizards, iguanas and ducks.

Gary worked very hard his entire career at dock stations, freight trucks, and numerous warehouse management positions changing the lives of these companies. The one thing he will tell you that was the best thing he had ever done in his life was marry his late wife Kathleen Hagedon. Their love was and is eternal, a true pure love, one that isn't common to discover. He, at 21 years old, made up his mind, love being at first sight that Kathleen was it for him and her two children were his forever.

Gary was such an extraordinary man. He was talented. He was kind and giving, He loved all his family with every inch of his soul and would fight to the death to protect every last one of them. Anyone who knew anything about Gary knew he was a hard working man, a man of faith, a honest genuine soul and he will be sorely missed by the many individual's lives he came across and his entire family.

Gary is survived by his two children Angelique Alvares, Tonka Esquivel. mother Marie Hagedon. sister Gail Hagedon. His grandchildren Alyssia Alvares, Tommy Esquivel, Christian Esquivel and Adam Esquivel, and numerous great grandchildren.

Gary is preceded in death by the love of his life, Kathleen Hagedon, grandson Xavier Alvares, sister in law Barbara Thornton, son in law Sean Merrick.
