Obituary for James M. Jones Sr.

James Michael Jones Sr, 67, of Clermont Florida, after a long fight with cancer, has passed away on August 21, 2022, with the thought of his loving family and in the comfort of longtime friends at South Lake Hospital.

James has dedicated 31 years of his life at Disney being an experienced security officer from which was won many awards, most importantly an award which he performed CPR on a guest and was able to keep them stable until medical help arrived.

James enjoyed practicing his faith in God as a devout Christian at multiple congregations as well as his own church for which his members and co-ministers are deeply saddened by the loss of this noble soul, he also liked to play his guitar for which he wrote many songs to worship God and Christ.
When James wasn’t busy working a labor intensive 9-5 job to support his family, he spent his remaining time at church sowing good deeds on to the world. And with that the world is a less friendly and hospitable place without him. God rest his soul for which I hope he is in heaven watching over us through our lives, Amen. James lived a life of kindness and hospitality, for all that have met him in the past can attest he was the best of mankind, often donating his time towards the ministry of Faith world church as a sign language volunteer, cook of the men’s ministry, and for his friends, a helping hand, driving his less fortunate friends or cooking for them

James had a passion for cooking for which he gained the skills from watching the various chefs at his work sites at Disney. Once and a while he liked to fish. I remember catching some bluegill fish at the pond behind the house we had in Orlando.

James was the caring father of a son, James, Jr and 2, stepdaughters; Angela Chamberlain & Kristin Kadas, he’s also survived by his mother, Marie Jones, sisters Jean Kubelka & Mary Gaines and brother Bill Jones.

The family and friends of James have arranged a viewing, eulogy, and funeral service, viewing will be from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on September 10, 2022, with funeral services being held at 3:00 pm, at Winter Oak Funeral Home, 1132 E.
