Obituary for John E. Sara
John E. Sara, 78 of Winter Garden, FL passed away peacefully on Monday September 12, 2022 at his home with his loving family by his side, after a long battle with cancer.
John was born on January 24, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of the late Edward V. Sara and Margaret (Sullivan) Sara. John was the beloved husband of 51 years to Denise (Paparatto) Sara, whom he lovingly called "Dee".
He is proudly survived by two sons, Matthew Sara and wife (Janeen) of St. Augustine, FL; and Jonathan Sara and wife (Missy) of Winter Garden, FL; and was “Pop Pop” to five grandchildren; Luke, Lily, Julianna, Caroline, and Natalie.
Besides his immediate family, he is survived by one sister, Virginia Weatherford and husband (Charles); brother-in-law Ronald Paparatto; two nephews; and numerous cousins.
John was a division sales manager with Bayer Pharmaceuticals, who was loved by his colleagues and all who worked for him. He was a lifelong athlete and avid fisherman who enjoyed running, tennis, golf, hiking, travel, and all things outdoors. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his loving wife, sons, grandchildren, and friends.
At John's request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Instead, he has asked that you "take the trip" that you have always wanted to, and spend time with your loved ones.
