Obituary for Headley "Eded" Henry

Headley George Henry (Eded) the youngest of four boys born to Jasper and Isabell Henry on June 5, 1941, in the district of Lodge, St. Ann, Jamaica.

Eded attended Newstead All-Age School in Cascade, St. Mary where he attained his formal education. He later became a block mason by trade, earning a living to sustain himself.

He later met and married Zeta Green who later became the mother of their five children, two boys Worrell and Ithamar. The girls Alorna, Hilarie and Abigail.

After migrating from Jamaica, he worked at the University of Central Florida in the Grounds Division where he gained the respect of his peers and the college president himself.

He loved family and harmony welcoming everyone including strangers. He wasn’t shy about making acquaintances and was a good judge of character. Discussing the bible scriptures was a passion for him, he was a philosopher in his own right.

Eded was loved and respected by his family and would do all he can for them and especially his grand and great grandchildren.

Eded was our hero, he taught us to give off our best, to be selfless and kind.

In the presence of family members Eded, our hero departed this life on September 15, 2022. His assignment is completed.

He is survived by his wife, Zeta, children Worrell, Ithamar, Alorna, Hilarie and Abigail.

Grandchildren, Mario, Lamont, Worrell, Shakiel, Jared, Kareem, Jazmin, Jordan, Matthew, Chandler, Antonic, and Zane-Marcovich.
