Obituary for James M. Gilligan
James Gilligan, 71 of Kissimmee, Florida passed away on October 5, 2022 in his home. He was, tragically, a casualty of Hurricane Ian.
Jim was born in The Bronx on January 13, 1951 to the late James Gilligan and Alice Gilligan who survives him at age 103.
Jim spent his career doing administrative work for the City of New York. He worked in Manhattan for 35 years before relocating to Florida. He enjoyed playing chess and doing cross word puzzles and loved the Florida sunshine.
Besides his Mother, Jim is survived by his sister Kathy and brothers Bob and Paul.
His funeral will be held in New York City at a future date. He will be buried with his Mother when she passes. We are brokenhearted over the loss of Jimmy but know he is in heaven reunited with our Dad and finally at peace.
