Obituary for Mable L. Watson

Mable L. Watson, 94, of Orlando, Florida passed away peacefully on Monday October 10, 2022, at Health Central Hospital in Ocoee.

Mable was born on February 23, 1928 in Orlando, FL, the daughter of the late Carl Gordon Sanders and Edna Pearl (Higginbotham) Sanders. She was the loving wife of 58 years to the late James D. Watson.

She was a Citrus packer in the vibrant Central Florida Citrus industry for many years, working for some of the largest companies in the region. Mable was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great- Grandmother and Great-great- Grandmother. She was a very devoted member of Church of God of Prophecy in Ocoee, FL. Her greatest joys were spending time with her family and going out to eat.

She is survived by her two children, Sandra L. Strickland and Jimmie (Linda) Watson, her ten grandchildren; Jason, Moriah, Cody, Jennifer, Stacy, Donna, Gina, Paige, Dianna and Brittney, her twenty-six Great Grandchildren and her six Great-Great Grandchildren. She is predeceased by her daughter, Sue Graham, and her son David Watson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday October 15, 2022, from 10-11am at Church of God of Prophecy 159 Taylor Street, Ocoee, FL 34761 followed by a funeral service at 11am at the church with pastor Ronald L. Bates Officiating. Burial will be private at Ocoee Cemetery.
