Obituary for Alfonzie Dickens MSGT USAF RET.

Alfonzie (Al) Dickens, 89, of Orlando, FL exchanged his cross for his crown on Monday October 24, 2022.

Alfonzie Dickens was born, on January 3, 1933, to the late Julius and Cora (Pugh) Dickens of Panama City, Florida. He attended Rosenwald High School where he graduated from and enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1951-1977 after retirement he went to work at the City of Orlando as an electrician after retiring from the City of Orlando, Al began his job at Mayheim Auto auction in Ocoee Florida, this was Al’s final job he finally retired.

Those who will forever cherish his memories and continue his legacy: his loving and devoted wife Ella “Leebaby” Dickens of Orlando, FL, 1 sister Lois Perry of Chicago, IL. Six son’s Jeffery (Rebecca) Dickens, of Tipton, MI, Timothy (Robin) of San Antonio, TX, Memphis Keith, Everette (Betty) Keith, Henry (Simi) Stamps and John Alex Dickens all of Orlando, FL. Eight granddaughters, Daphne Dickens, Jr. of San Antonio, TX, Nicole (Jason) Allen of CA, Masheo (Jeff) Jordan of San Antonio TX, Delandra Keith of Orlando, FL, Camellia Keith of Atlanta, GA, Leigh McBurnie, Janesha Forrester, and Jerona Cohen, of Orlando, FL. Three grandsons Domonique (Marisha) Dickens of San Antonio TX, Joshua Keith of Bowie, MD, and Jordin Keith of Orlando, FL; 12 great grands, Olive, Destin, Penny, Shelly, Roman, Jeffery, David, Levi, Addelaide, Denium, Mark and Matthew; the newest grandchild being born to Henry & Simi due April of 2023.

Those who will greet him in the clouds are his parents Julius and Cora Dickens, brother Leonard Dickens, grandparents, and great grandparents.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday November 12, 2022, from 3:00 – 4:00 pm with memorial service beginning at 4:00 pm at Winter Oak Funeral Home 1132 E. Plant St. Winter Garden, FL 34787.
