Obituary for Frank B. Derbyshire

Frank Bowden Derbyshire of Davenport, Florida passed away peacefully at Winter Garden Nursing Home on November 26, 2022. After a lengthy battle with Parkinson's and Lewy Body Dementia.

Frank was born on April 1, 1938, to Albert and Eloise (Barber) Derbyshire in New Hampshire. He attained a degree from Chapman College then attended Auburn University where he received a Masters Degree in Political Science.

Frank served in the United States Air Force from 1959 until he retired as Lt. Colonel in 1979. He served as navigator on the B-52 and then went into Communications. He was stationed in several bases in the US and also overseas in Athens, Greece.

After his retirement from the Air Force, he returned to California to raise his family. After his children were grown, he and his beloved wife Jean set out on a new adventure RVing throughout the United State including a couple trips to Alaska. They finally settled in Davenport, Florida where they found a close community of friends and family enjoying golf, happy hours and serving in his church.

Frank is survived by his children: Carey (Doug) Bond, Elizabeth Derbyshire, Frank (Tracie) Derbyshire and his grandchildren: Jenna Derbyshire, Jared Derbyshire, Savannah Kiser, Jacob Kiser and Kaleigh Wilson and his great grandchildren: Amelia Rae and Pharaoh.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Jean Derbyshire.
