Yvonne J. Snow of Winter Garden, Fl passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 10th, 2022, at Orlando Health – Health Central in Ocoee, Fl, with her loving family by her side.
Yvonne was born on February 1st, 1938, in the small town of Gastonia, NC. She is the daughter of the late Will Jenkins and the late Bernice (Ramsey) Jenkins. She was the third child of six siblings, Virginia Ann Digh, Shelby Jean Gear, the late JW “Buddy” Jenkins, the late Hubert “Butch” Jenkins, and the late Jackie Ray Yarborough.
She was a loving wife of many years to both the late Jesse Lester Jarrett, Jr, and the late Glen Snow. Yvonne had four children, David Lester Jarrett (wife Michelle Lumsden-Jarrett), Regina Jarrett Knapman (husband Thomas Knapman), Teresa Jarrett Marshall (husband Stuart Marshall), and the late Tammy Bernice Jarrett. Yvonne has five surviving grandchildren, William Lester Jarrett, Jordan Alyssa Marshall, Timothy Lindsey Jarrett, Haley Alana (Lana) Marshall, and Adam Jesse Jarrett. She also has one surviving great grand- daughter, Paisynn Jarrett. In addition, Yvonne has many loving nieces and nephews, along with their children and grandchildren as well.
Yvonne was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. During her hardworking life she spent many years working in food service, cosmetology, and in retail sales. The most important things in Yvonne’s life were her faith, her love for both her immediate and extended family, and her love of gospel music. She was always willing to give to others, be it her time, her cooking skills, or her fellowship. She possessed a remarkable combination of kindness, selflessness, and a very dry sense of humor, which she frequently shared with a sparkle in her eye. Her smile could truly light up any room that she was in, and she was always willing to share it with those that she loved and cared about. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched during her time with us.
Yvonne’s family will be having a Memorial Service for her on Monday, December 19th, at 1pm, at West Orlando Baptist Church, 1006 East Crown Point Road, Ocoee, FL, 34761. Her family has also made arrangements for having the memorial services made available for streaming for those who might not be able to attend in person. Look for West Orlando Baptist Church on YouTube, then search for Celebration of Life for Yvonne Snow. The family has requested that persons wishing to send flowers make a donation to West Orlando Baptist Church, which is what Yvonne would have wanted.
