Obituary for Luat P. Tong
Luat Tong, at the unfortunate age of 54, has peacefully passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022, at the Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Florida, with the presence of his beloved family by his side.
Luat, better known by others as “Tom,” was born on September 5th, 1968, in Vietnam. He was the loving husband of Trinh Le and the father of Tina Tong. Luat came to the United States during his early 20’s in hopes to find the “American Dream.” Now, we know Luat has also come to have found and experienced the warm joy of being dearly loved by his caring wife and little girl, who has written this obituary with great grief in her heart. Anyone who knew Luat would tell you he enjoyed the simple pleasures in life: family, food, and fishing. Those who knew Luat in their life could always count on him to be there, and although it was difficult at times for him to express his emotions, his human core was truly kind.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Luat has touched are invited to his funeral, located at Winter Oak Funeral Home (1132 E. Plant Street, Winter Garden, FL 34787). The funeral ceremony will immediately begin on Saturday, December 31st, from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. Luat’s daughter, Tina, will be providing a brief eulogy for her father at the beginning of the ceremony. Luat’s burial will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral (400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734) right after from 10:30 am to 11:00 am.
