Angella Jacqueline Thompson affectionately known as Pat, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2023, while bravely battling cancer with her loving family by her side.
Angella was born on July 2, 1960, in Cromwelland, St. Mary, Jamaica WI, and migrated to Orlando, Florida in 1997. She is the daughter of the late Carmen Stoddart and Rupert Hamilton. Angella was also preceded in death by her great-grandfather David Samuels (Laden) who primarily raised her.
Angella was committed and relentless in everything she did. She worked numerous jobs throughout her life, sometimes more than one at a time. Angella was last employed as a Customer Host at Universal Studios until the time of her illness. The job that Angella was always committed to the most, was being a mother to her four beautiful children and seven grandchildren. Angella was a caretaker at heart, and she tried to take care of everyone until the end, sometimes to the exclusion of her own needs.
Angella was very calm, fiercely independent, and private. She valued loyalty, honesty, and authenticity. She detested excuses and was a strong believer that with hard work, discipline, and determination, you can achieve your dreams.
When Angella was not working, she enjoyed catching up on her favorite television shows and shopping with her daughters. If you were lucky enough to taste one of Angella’s dishes, consider yourself very blessed, because she was the best chef who always cooked with passion and love.
To say Angella will be missed is an understatement.
