Debra May Howard, 68 of Orlando, Florida passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 17, 2023 at
Advent Health Hospital, in Apopka, Florida with loving family by her side.
Debbie was born on July 15, 1954 in Trenton, Ontario, Canada. She is the daughter of the late Donald
Miles and Kathleen (MacDonald) Miles. Debbie was the loving wife of 46 years to Mark A. Howard.
Debbie was a domestic engineer, for many years in Nova Scotia, Canada and Orlando, Florida. She was
greatly involved with the PTA all through her children’s schooling years and received PTA volunteer of
the year in Orange County. When not at the Orange county schools she spent many hours volunteering
at Florida Hospital, on Rollins Street in Orlando. Debbie was very involved with her family and enjoyed
traveling all of Canada, most of the states in the USA, parts of Europe, Africa, South America and the
Caribbean. She was also enjoyed life as an avid camper, boater and snowmobiler.
Besides her loving husband, Mark; she is survived by two children, daughter Amanda(Charles) of
Daytona, Florida and son Nicholas of Toronto, Ontario. Two Sisters, Patti Fraser(John), Miramichi, New
Brunswick, and Kelly Quigley of New Minas, Nova Scotia. Two granddaughters Sierra Rose and Lillian Eva
of Daytona, Florida; As well as a number of nieces and nephews. Debra was preceded in death by
brother Paul and a sister Brenda.
After a private viewing by the immediate family Debra will be Cremated at Winter Oaks Funeral Home in
Winter Garden Florida. Her remains will be placed at various locations in Atlantic Canada
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to
America and/or Canadian Stroke Association, the
Cancer Research institute and
IPF Clinical Research.
