Obituary for Judy N Rodgers
Judy N. Rodgers, 74, of Winter Garden, Florida went home on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Orlando Heath at Horizon West hospital with her loving family by her side.
Judy was born on February 10, 1948 in Florala, Alabama. She is the daughter of “Smitty” Smith and Gert Smith. Judy was the loving wife of 58 years to Jimmy Rodgers.
Judy was a nurse for many years in both Winter Garden and Ocala, Florida.
She was fiercely independent and a great encourager of others. She was a trusted and loyal friend to many. Over the years, she helped many people through challenging times.
Judy enjoyed a good book, and in her earlier days - a day at the beach. In her later years, you’d find her watching politics, pond building and landscaping projects on YouTube.
One of her last adventures was her annual New Year’s Eve camping trip with longtime friends including lots of card playing and food.
Besides her husband, Jimmy, she is survived by her three children: daughters Angie (John) Booth, Pam Hood of Winter Garden, Florida 1 son Daniel “Charlie (Liz) Rodgers of Lakeside, California
She also has five grandchildren - Hayden and wife (Kristen), Cathy, Joshua and Isaac.
Judy’s Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday January 25, 2023 at 11:00 am at Temple Freewill Baptist Church, 1208 East Story Road, Winter Garden with Pastor Jeff Shaver officiating.
