Obituary for John Dane Rohrsen

John Danes Rohrsen, beloved husband, son, brother, and uncle, passed away on January 30, 2023, with his
loving family by his side. John was born August 22, 1958 in Elgin Illinois to the late John P. Rohrsen and
Marjorie Rohrsen. He was the loving husband of 40 years to Brenda (Bubolt) Rohrsen.

Growing up, John played baseball and loved spending time on his grandparents’ farm, where he and his siblings created all kinds of mischief. He moved to Wyoming and met Brenda, the love of his life. John dreamed of living in Florida, and in 1990 he and Brenda drove cross-country to begin their life together there. Once in Florida, John started and grew his business, JBR Service Inc.

John loved the ocean and spending time at the beach with Brenda, family and friends. He loved the outdoors,
fishing, camping, snorkeling and jet skiing. He climbed a mountain in Wyoming and co-captained a sailboat
around the Virgin Islands. He was an avid music fan and enjoyed going to concerts and playing guitar. He
loved Bears football, Cubs baseball, Bulls basketball, and NASCAR racing. He was a dog dad and his dogs
were an important part of his family.

John had many qualities that made him so endearing to those who knew him. He was a dedicated husband,
brother, uncle and friend. He was known for his sense of humor and was the king of quick comebacks. He
could always lighten the mood, making everyone laugh. He had a caring heart and was kind and thoughtful to
all he met, helping friends, neighbors and family in need without expecting anything in return.

As a business owner, John was known for his work ethic, reliability, dependability, and exceptional service. He was passionate about quality and serving his clients, who were like family to him. As the owner and sole
technician, he worked tirelessly to ensure his clients’ needs were cared for, making himself available whenever needed. He will be truly missed by all.

He is survived by his wife Brenda (Bubolt) Rohrsen, brother Dennis Rohrsen (Carol), niece Christine Briski
