On February 13, 2023 Alison (Edwards) Bouck or as some of her internet friends knew her, the Mighty Paragon, was taken from us peacefully in her sleep. As they did oh so many years ago, there’s no doubt that her parents, Genevieve and Frank, are waiting for her at the pearly gates to welcome her home – again.
Alison loved her fur babies – Binkie, Rusty, Tabby, and Smudge to name a few. She also had a passion for the good ole US of A. She LOVED her country and was also a fan of Kahlua and Starbucks!
She had many passions. She loved riding her scooter, traveling, camping, and Geocaching. She enjoyed collecting Disney memorabilia, including the many different pins that came out every season. Alison also took a tremendous interest in firearms and firearms safety. She studied, practiced, and was intent on being an outstanding instructor. She even rose to the level of Range Safety Officer, an accomplishment of which she was justifiably quite proud.
Alison had a tremendous zest for life and enjoyed a rewarding career. Disney was a big part of Alison’s life. She was a loyal “Cast Member” for over three decades. She loved her job and was proud of her work. She made some great friends there, not the least of whom is Edwin, who will miss his friend a great deal.
She had many other friends, too numerous to mention, but perhaps one of the most loving and giving friends has been Olivia. Olivia has been compassionate and supportive beyond measure. This time spent watching her dear friend suffer and decline from over a three-year battle with brain cancer has taken a tremendous toll, but Olivia has been there every step of the way – helping, guiding, advising, and preparing her (and herself) for the ultimate outcome. Tony and Terry join Edwin and Olivia in their grief as these friendships don’t come often. Alison is cherished by those fortunate enough to have experienced a friendship with her. She also had a new passion. Having recently learned of some additional relatives, she was elated to meet her new siblings and biological mother. While there was never any animosity over having been adopted, she always commented on how blessed she and her brother, Frank, were to have been raised by her adoptive family. However, Alison took delight in meeting and visiting with her newfound family members and made memories of fun adventures that lasted for the rest of her life.
Amber, Jenna, Shane, and Mom (Little-Oak) were just getting started on their relationships with Alison – only to have her taken from them after far too little time. Thankfully, they did get to spend some quality time getting to know and love each other.
Alison is survived by her brother, Frank, half-sisters, Amber and Jenna, half-brothers, Shane and Paul Van nort, and biological mother, Little-Oak along with multiple fur babies and many friends.
She will be missed here on earth, but is undoubtedly enjoying her new chapter. Just imagine the Geocache prizes that are in heaven.
Alison's funeral arrangements are in the caring guidance of Winter Oak Funeral Home & Cremation,
